Indian Lake Islands Campground

Camping on the Indian Lake Islands offers wild forest camping and some of the best recreational boating in the Adirondacks. The Indian Lake Islands Campground is located on the southern shore of 4,365 acre Indian Lake.

How to get there

From the town of Indian Lake, take Route 30 south about 12 miles to the campground on the left. Here, there is a boat launch you can use to access the islands and Indian Lake. The islands are boat access only.

Camping

This campground in Indian Lake is home to 55 sites with picnic tables, fire pits, and pit toilets. At the entrance, there are firewood sales and a pay telephone is available. Many nearby hiking trails offer campers a wide range of places to explore. This state run campground is well-forested and features large, private campsites.

Power boats, rowboats, kayaks, and canoes allowed. Canoe rentals available at the campground.
