Take a hike!

In Inlet we don't take offense to that statement — in fact, we crave the opportunity to get out there and fill our lungs with fresh mountain air. We love to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the Adirondacks, and to reach those scenic views that make us feel like we are on top of the world. We invite you to take a hike, because after all, a trip to the Adirondacks really isn't complete unless you spend some time on the trails.

Hike Green

A hiker's paradise!

Inlet truly is a hiker's paradise. The West Central Adirondacks boasts many miles of varied trails, ranging from short and easy strolls to all-day climbs. We have bog hikes on floating boardwalks and short strolls among centuries-old white pines. An avid hiker could find enough trails and hikes within a few miles of downtown Inlet to fill up months of exploration.

It is best to plan hikes based on your ability, and to let others know where you're going and when you expect to return. Bring a day pack and carry extra water, food, and layers of clothing, as the weather can change quickly in the mountains, even on a warm summer day. Hike Rocky
