Black Friday shopping is a phenomenon that has taken over the country. People are camping out for days waiting for the hottest, newest merchandise at the best deals. If this doesn't sound appealing to you, shop local this season! Avoid the crowds and long lines, and get great gifts for everyone on your list, all while still getting great deals! 

Raquette Lake

There will be a great shopping event hosted at Raquette Lake School on November 28th from 11am-3pm. Featured will be vendors such as 31, Scentsy, Pampered Chef and more! Check in with the Long Lake/Raquette Lake for more information!

Inlet

Adirondack Christmas On Main Street

Inlet will hold their Annual Adirondack Christmas on Main Street this year from November 27th-29th. With events happening all weekend, you won't want to miss out. Do your local shopping and then stop by the Inlet Information Office with your reciepts. For every $10 you spend locally, you will recieve a raffle ticket for a basket full of goodies donated by Inlet businesses! The winner will be announced Sunday at 5pm. 

Make sure to stop by the Inlet Town Hall to drop off those letters to Santa and bring along your Christmas gifts! They will have a free gift wrapping station where you can get all your holiday wrapping done with some assistance.  Other activities include a book sale at the Inlet Public Library, an author signing with Letty Haynes, and a candy cane hunt and face painting for the kids. Santa will also be available for photo ops!

With Ugly Sweater Contests, Live Music, Holiday Dog Parades, and a Tree Lighting, there is a lot going on in Inlet this weekend! Make sure to stop by  Inlet's page for a full list of events and participating businesses.

Speculator

Speculator will host its 7th Annual Holiday Stroll on November 27th. Many local businesses participate every year, offering great deals on goods and services! Stop in or call the Melody Lodge, The Inn at Speculator, Logan's Bar and Grill, The Oxbow Inn and Old Country Pizza, not just for a bite to eat while you shop - but for great deals on gift certificates as well!

Make sure to visit local shops such as Charlie Johns, The Speculator Department Store, Pretty and Chic, Common Grounds, The Nest on Main, and more for great holiday shopping deals. For a complete list of deals and participating businesses, visit the Speculator Region Chamber of Commerce. And make sure to keep your eyes open for the Victorian Carolers as they stroll from business to business, serenading shoppers!

INDIAN LAKE

Indian Lake will be holding their 18th Annual Country Christmas Tour November 27th and 28th. Country Christmas Tour Painted Ice Skates

There will be crafters set up at designated areas throughout town selling handmade-in-the-Adirondack gifts, you'll find unique items for friends on your list! There will also be plenty of family events. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance to read holiday stories, there will be a candy cane hunt for children under 8, live music, and more!
